GO ON!

Go on! Don’t stop to see what you have been missing from your old lifestyle. The call of God upon your life is that you move forward. Jesus has no reward for those who turn back. The reward of God is only for those who continue to the end. To turn back is the same as to turn away from the Lord. Don’t do that! Each time you look back, you lose the sight of the future. You must remember that your success lies ahead and not behind. People that look back live in the past and not in the reality of the present. Neither can such people even work truly for the advancement of their careers. The problem with such people is that the present would have passed before they start regretting the loss opportunities. Someone rightly observe that, “The man who wastes today lamenting yesterday will waste tomorrow lamenting today”. Note that and
make sure you are not a victim of its negative prophecy. Your future does not depend on yesterday but on how well you utilize the opportunities that come your way today. Be a youth with foresight.
Look up and look forward! Your success lies ahead.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus”. (Philippians 3:14).

CHECK-POINTS

You are all too familiar with checkpoints, aren't you? There, policemen check the validity of your vehicle papers to ensure you are on the right side of the law. Merchants carry out stock-taking at the close of a year as part of preparations for a new trading year. Even the regular examinations you write are a form of checkpoint. Checkpoints are for the purpose of detecting and correcting lapses along the course of life.
You have lived your life all these many days and years. Have you ever stopped to check up the direction you are headed? Spiritually, are you headed in the right direction, heaven? Academically, are you headed in the direction of success? Socially, are you headed in the direction of profitable relationships at school and in the neighbourhood? David sets us a good example of a man who, though very busy, yet found time for regular checkpoints before the Lord. "Search me O God", he prayed.
David knew he could not trust his own judgement  Neither can you. Let God examine your heart and the general tendency of your life. Whatever He tells you is right, do it.
I want to challenge you, life is not just a great party, it is serious   business. Get serious.
"Search me O God…try me…lead me, in Jesus' Name".
